I’m Going to Mimi G’s Sewing, Fashion & Style Conference!

Greetings all!

I’ve been MIA for a while AGAIN.  However, I’m back because I want to fill you in on new developments!  I will be attending Mimi G’s Sewing, Fashion and & Style Conference this weekend!  YAY! 😉

Who is Mimi G?

In my own words, Mimi G is fashion blogger who happens to sew most of the clothes and styles she rocks on her block.  She is a talented seamstress and on occasion sells her work online.  She is headquartered out in Los Angeles, CA, which is also where the event she is hosting will take place.  If you want to check her out, click the links in this post.

How I Got My Tickets

The Mimi G event had been sold out for months.  By the time I considered going, I was already beyond late.  However, because I follow her on facebook and instagram, I was able to catch an announcement that she had some spaces available and to simply email her to purchase the remaining tickets.  Well, I got on it as soon as I heard and managed to score my ticket to the event!  The event is scheduled to take place July 20 – 21st (Saturday through Sunday) and will be jam packed full of goodies, workshops, etc.

Yes, folks, I’ll try to take you with me on this event.  There will be plenty of workshops and fabric shopping going on and I am so very excited to be able to join.  Also, my husband is going to tag along – not for the conference, but for our extra time in Los Angeles because we will try to enjoy ourselves during his birthday week.  😉  Although, we have been to Los Angeles before, I have not done much sight seeing except for the Hollywood walk of fame…so, we will see if we can squeeze in some LA sight seeing during our time in SoCal.  If so, I’ll take you with me on those excursions as well!

I’ve posted this late, but I’d like to know if anyone else out there is going to the conference?  If so, feel free to comment.  Can’t wait to meet sewists of all sewing levels.  I just know it will be awesome!
